What are the snacks in Heilongjiang?

Heilongjiang is located at the northernmost tip of my country. It is the province with the highest latitude in my country and has the most fertile black soil. There are not only beautiful fairy-tale crystal ice castles, but also the most beautiful and magnificent ice and snow fields. Among them, Wudalianchi and Jingpo Lake are both national key scenic spots. The best time to travel to Heilongjiang is from July to September and from December to February.

Kedong fermented bean curd. It is a unique brand of fermented food in Heilongjiang Province. It is a bacterial type fermentation, different from Mucor type fermentation. Its product characteristics are bright color, delicate and soft texture, delicious and long taste, and special aromatic smell. It has won the "Ulaanbaatar International Food Expo Gold Award", "China's Top Ten Fermented Bean Curd Brands", "China's Top Ten Well-known Brands in the Industry", "China's Famous Brand", "Heilongjiang Famous Brand", and "Heilongjiang Famous Trademark" and other honors.

Frozen persimmons. Since persimmons are difficult to transport and store, they are usually placed outdoors in sub-zero temperatures in the winter and frozen into lumps of ice. Frozen persimmons taste great and are easy to transport and store. Because persimmons are very hard after being frozen, they must be thawed with hot water before eating! The taste of frozen persimmons is very different whether they are thawed or not, but the hard frozen persimmons have a different flavor.

Chicken cold noodles. In Jixi, there is a dish that has been loved by citizens for decades. Even when the "city flower" and "city emblem" have been difficult to come by, this dish has openly become the "city dish". Even in the coldest days of winter outside, the cold noodle restaurants are always packed. It is the Jixi cold noodles. Decades ago, there were special cold noodle restaurants in Jixi. There was a particularly famous one in the prosperous commercial district at that time. People in Jixi called it "Jixi Big Cold Noodles".

Bao Gong fish. The original name of Baogong fish is "Red Crispy Baohe Crucian Carp". The crucian carp produced in Baohe River has a black back and is known as "Bao Gong fish". When Chairman Mao Zedong visited Anhui in 1958, the famous chef Liang Yugang prepared the dish of river crucian carp wrapped in red crispy sauce for Chairman Mao, who was deeply praised. This dish is served cold. The fish is seasoned with vinegar and stewed for a long time over low heat. The bones are crispy and the meat is tender, leaving a lasting aftertaste.

Harbin red sausage. Red sausage, native to Lithuania in Eastern Europe, was later widely spread to other European countries, especially Russia. It is a medium-temperature air-dried sausage type. Because the country is close to the Baltic Sea, the climate is humid, which makes air drying difficult, and the country has abundant forest resources. In order to speed up the air drying of the product, the locals use wood chips for smoking.
