Can sausage be frozen?

Chinese sausage, also known as salami, is a delicious food with a very long shelf life. Common sausages are generally made by hand. They are made from raw materials such as pork and casings, as well as salt, sugar, liquor, nitrates and other materials. The general storage method for sausage is to store it in a cool and dry place. But many people are afraid that sausages will expire if stored at room temperature, so can sausages be frozen?

Can sausage be frozen?

You can eat sausages frozen in the refrigerator, but the taste will be bad after thawing. If you put them in the refrigerator, they can be stored for three months. If you plan to eat the sausage within two or three weeks, and the indoor temperature is below 20℃ and the humidity is below 60%, you do not need to put it in the refrigerator. Just put it in a ventilated place that is not exposed to direct sunlight. Otherwise, it must be placed in the insulation layer of the refrigerator and the temperature must be adjusted to around 4°C. It can be stored for three or four months. If placed in the freezer, it can be stored for half a year. When storing sausages in the refrigerator, they should be packaged in fresh-keeping bags according to the amount they can be eaten at one time. This method can preserve them for a longer period of time, but they should also be eaten as soon as possible.

After cleaning the sausages and draining all the water, wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze them in the freezer of the refrigerator. This storage method is suitable for all sausages and has the longest storage period. The effect will be better if they are sealed. People can also store sausages in the refrigerator, so that they can be kept for at least one year without spoiling or changing taste.

How long can sausage be kept in the refrigerator

If it needs to be stored for a long time, you can first further bake or dry the cured meat, wrap it in a plastic bag, and store it in the freezer of the refrigerator. It can generally be stored for 6 months.

Preserved meat should not be stored in the refrigerator. It is not suitable to store cured meat in the refrigerator because there are often vegetables, fruits and other foods in the refrigerator, which has high humidity and can easily cause the cured meat to mold. If the cured meat is only slightly moldy on the surface, you can wipe it clean with warm water and place it in a ventilated place to dry; if there is more mold, it is not suitable for consumption.
