Is there a simple way to make homemade braised beef?

Braised beef in soy sauce is a dish that people love. This dish is available in many regions of my country, and the cooking method varies in each region. Sometimes, braised beef in soy sauce is very complicated to make and not practical for family use. For ordinary people, making delicious braised beef is not particularly difficult, and the method is relatively simple. First, you must ensure that the beef is fresh enough, and secondly, you must prepare all the ingredients.

Ingredients:

10g salt, 15g sugar, 45ml cooking wine, 100g yellow bean paste, 2 star anise, pepper, cinnamon, onion and ginger

1. Rinse the beef with running water to remove surface dirt.

2. Put the beef into a cooking pot and add cold water until the water covers the meat.

3. Boil the meat over medium-high heat. After the water boils, skim off the blood foam and continue cooking. Cook for about 15 minutes until all the blood is gone, then remove the meat and drain the water.

4. Put the beef into the soup pot, add hot water until the beef is completely covered, add soy sauce, yellow paste, salt, sugar, cooking wine, scallion segments, ginger slices and the seasoning packet (peppercorns, aniseed, cinnamon). Cover with lid and cook on high heat for half an hour, then reduce heat to low for 2 hours. Cover the pot and simmer over high heat for 15 minutes.

5. Take out the meat and let it cool. (You can place the chopsticks on a large bowl and then put the meat on it)

6. After the beef has cooled completely, cut it into thin slices against the direction of the meat fibers.
