How to make Taiwan's super popular snack oyster omelette

How to make Taiwan's super popular snack oyster omelette

For middle-aged and elderly people, half of their life can be said to have passed. In the remaining life, all we need to do is enjoy life. Enjoying life starts with the details of life, such as three meals a day. Many middle-aged and elderly people have not enjoyed many delicacies. Let me introduce how to make oyster omelet, a very popular Taiwanese snack.

1. Beat the eggs and add appropriate amount of salt for later use. Cut carrots and cabbage into shreds and set aside. Chop the green onions. Personal experience: Oysters can be marinated with soy sauce, or you can add two spoons of oyster sauce and mix well before frying. This will not only remove the fishy smell but also make the taste more delicious.

2. Pour a proper amount of oil into the pan and add the marinated oysters. Do not use too high a heat and fry them slowly.

3. Don’t keep turning the oysters when frying, as it will create a fishy smell. This is what an elderly person told me. Fry the oysters in the oil for two or three minutes, then turn them over and add the shredded carrots and cabbage.

4. Sprinkle some chives when it is almost cooked to enhance the aroma. (The recipe in Taiwan and Fujian is to add garlic leaves, but they are hard to buy in the summer).

5. Slowly pour the egg liquid along the edge of the oysters, and then pour the remaining egg liquid into the middle of the oysters.

6. Hold the handle of the pot and turn the pot around to allow the egg liquid to flow and form an even circle.

7. When the egg liquid is about to solidify (there is still flowing egg liquid on the surface), turn down the heat and dry it slowly. Because no sweet potato flour is added, it will break if you turn it over with a spatula, so turning down the heat in time will make the egg pancake softer and more tender.

8. Finally, pour sweet and spicy sauce or tomato sauce according to your preference and serve.

Although the above method of making Taiwan's super popular snack oyster omelet may seem a bit complicated, I believe that you are smart enough to have mastered it. Now that you have mastered the text, you can start doing it yourself. I believe that you have strong hands-on ability.
