1. Peel the shrimp shells directly with your hands

First, select a prawn that looks right, and peel off the second or third segment of the shell from the prawn's head downwards.

Start peeling from the third section upwards, starting with the head of the prawn. Then stop. The shrimp head is still attached, so it's not easy to peel.

Turn the prawns so the tails are facing up. Starting from the fourth section, continue peeling towards the tail. In the end, there were only two parts left at the tail, which I didn’t know what to call, so I just pulled them off.

Next, let’s deal with the shrimp head. Peel off the cap on the shrimp head, being careful not to get pricked by the sharp spines! Then pick up the shell that you just gave up halfway, and peel it down to the bottom of the shrimp head to peel off all the long whiskers of the shrimp.

You also need to use a knife to chop off the front part of the shrimp head that has not been peeled off, then cut the shrimp meat on the back of the shrimp, remove the shrimp thread, and then wash the shrimp meat from head to tail with water, and then you are done.

2. Peel the shrimp shell with scissors

Clean a plate of fresh shrimp and find the shrimp heads.

Ignore the shrimp head and use scissors to cut down along the shrimp's abdomen from the part just after the shrimp head until the shrimp's tail. Do not cut off the tail.

The shrimps are still intact after being cut, and when put back on the plate, they look almost the same as before being cut. Then prepare all the shrimps in the same way.

After the shrimps are cooked, pick up a shrimp with your hands and gently peel the part that you cut with scissors before. The shrimp meat inside the shrimp shell can be easily, quickly and intactly taken out and eaten.

3. Peeling the shrimp shells after freezing

Simply rinse the live shrimp you bought with clean water, and then put them in the freezer for about 40 minutes. Take the shrimp out of the freezer after forty minutes. At this time you can see that the shrimp has been frozen.

Separate the shrimp head from the shrimp body and peel off the shrimp shell from the abdomen from top to bottom. At this time, you will find that the shrimp shell can be easily separated from the shrimp meat.

There is no obvious shrimp thread that needs to be removed from river shrimp. If you are peeling river shrimp, when removing the shrimp head, gently pull upward and outward from the shrimp's abdomen, and the shrimp thread can be pulled out easily. If you fail, it doesn't matter. There is still one more chance. When the shrimp shell is peeled to the tail, pinch the shrimp's butt lightly with your fingers, and the shrimp thread can also be pulled out.
