What are the benefits of chestnuts?

Experts point out that chestnuts are a type of dried fruit with a high carbohydrate content, which can provide the human body with more heat energy and help fat metabolism. It ensures the supply of basic nutrients for the body and is known as "hardcore crop" and "woody grain".

Prevent and treat cardiovascular disease

Chestnuts contain a large amount of starch, protein, fat, B vitamins and other nutrients. They are known as the "king of dried fruits" and can effectively prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, arteriosclerosis, and are beneficial to human health.

Strengthen muscles and bones, delay aging

Chestnuts are rich in vitamin C, which can maintain the normal functions of teeth, bones, blood vessels and muscles. They can prevent and treat osteoporosis, sore waist and legs, muscle pain, fatigue, etc., delay human aging, and are an ideal health fruit for the elderly. Regular consumption of raw chestnuts can also treat sore waist and legs, and relax muscles and tendons.

Teach you three tips to identify chestnuts!

1. Take a look

Chestnuts with shiny surface and dark color are aged chestnuts and should not be purchased; chestnuts with lighter color should not be purchased; chestnuts with lighter color and less glossiness are fresh chestnuts, which have more fluff at the tail and can be purchased with confidence.

2. Second pinch

If you pinch the belly of a chestnut and it feels slightly elastic, it means the grains are solid and the flesh is generally plump. If it feels hard, it is an aged chestnut. If it feels hollow, it means the flesh is shriveled.

3. Three shakes

Shake the chestnuts. If you can hear a clear sound, it means the flesh has become dry and hard, and the chestnuts are old or spoiled. If there is a muffled sound or no sound, they are new chestnuts.
