How to twist the flower roll at home

The key to making flower rolls is to twist them. If you want to make good-looking flower rolls, you must first season the flour properly. You can make simple salt and pepper rolls at home, they don’t have to be that complicated. There are many flavors of flower rolls, choose according to your taste. The flower rolls made by different people are different, and the twisted flower rolls are also different. Flower rolls are loved by people of all ages, but brown sugar flower rolls are not suitable for everyone.

Ingredients: 250g all-purpose flour, 140g warm water, 3g yeast, 15g sugar, 5g vegetable oil, pepper powder, salt, a little vegetable oil

  practice:

1. Mix yeast and water evenly, then mix with flour, sugar and oil and knead into a smooth dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it relax at room temperature for 10 minutes.

2. Roll the dough into a rectangular thin sheet, brush a layer of oil on the dough, sprinkle a little salt and pepper powder, roll it into long strips and flatten it slightly. Cut into 16 pieces. Take two pieces and overlap them, press down from the middle with chopsticks, then turn the two ends down and pinch them tightly.

3. Place the prepared steamed buns on the steamer, add water to the steamer and bring it to warm, then turn off the heat, put the steamed buns in, cover and ferment for 20-25 minutes. Turn on the heat again and steam for 10 minutes after the water boils. Turn off the heat and take out after 5 minutes.

3. Roll the dough evenly into a rectangle with a thickness of about 5mm. (When making flower rolls, it is not good to roll the dough too thin or too thick. If it is too thin, the subsequent sugar fermentation of the flower rolls will be affected by the oil immersion, and the finished product will have lumps of hot dough that cannot ferment. If it is too thick, the layers will not be beautiful and the taste will be bad. Generally, the thickness of the dough should be about 0.5 cm.).

4. Pour oil and spread evenly, sprinkle salt evenly and spread evenly.

5. Sprinkle chopped green onions evenly and start rolling up from one end.

6. Cut evenly into pieces of about 3 cm.

7. Take one of the sections, pinch both ends with your hands, and gently stretch it a little (if the divided pieces are small, you can stack two together for subsequent shaping operations).

8. Twist your hands about 180 degrees in opposite directions, and pinch them at the bottom.

9. After finishing other steps, put the sugar on the steamer and let it rise for 15 minutes.

10. Steam over medium heat for about 13 minutes after the water starts to boil. Turn off the heat and let the water boil after 5 minutes.
