How to make hand-painted cake roll

Then add low-gluten flour and continue to stir with a whisk until the flour becomes sticky (the low-gluten flour must be allowed to develop gluten so that the cake roll will not crack).

7. Beat the 3 egg whites of the cake roll (plus the remaining 30 grams of sugar) until stiff peaks form, then add to the prepared cake batter in two batches and mix well. You can also add the remaining 1/3 of the egg whites from the hand-painted font paste and stir.

8. Then pour the batter into the baking pan. The baked font batter should be dry so that it will not deform.

9. Use a spatula to spread the batter evenly around the baking pan, smooth the surface, and stir to release the bubbles.

10. Bake in the middle layer of the oven preheated to 170 degrees for 15 minutes

11. Turn the cake upside down immediately after it is baked and carefully tear off the wax paper to reveal the hand-painted layer.

12. Cover it again to ensure the cake roll does not dry out.

13. Then prepare 150 grams of whipped cream, add 15 grams of sugar, and whip until 80% whipped

14. Turn the cake roll over, make shallow cuts every 2cm, and brush a layer of sugar water on it to keep it soft.

17. Wrap it in baking paper and refrigerate overnight. It will look better if you cut off both ends before eating it the next day.
