How to make homemade kumquat preserves

1. Prepare the necessary materials.

2. Soak the kumquats in salt water for 10 minutes, wash them, and cut two cuts on the top of the kumquats with a knife.

Pour 3.500 grams of water into the pot and bring to a boil, then add rock sugar.

4. Cook until the rock sugar melts, then pour in the washed kumquats.

5. Cover the pot and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes.

6. Stir gently with a small spoon during the process to make the kumquats more flavorful. Cook until the surface of the kumquats becomes transparent, add a little salt and turn off the heat.

7. Pour into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.

8. Pour out and drain the kumquat juice.

9. Spread out the microwaveable plate and put it in the microwave on high heat for 3 minutes.

10. Take out the reverse side and put it in the microwave for another 2 minutes. (A little juice will flow out when heated, just pour it out)

11. Continue microwaving, taking it out every 2 minutes to check on the condition, until it becomes tough.
