How to make eight-treasure lotus seed rice dumpling

Nowadays, many office workers bring their own lunch. Although it’s not very good, it’s enough to make people in the office envious. Next, we will introduce to you the Eight Treasure Lotus Seed Rice Dumpling. If you study it carefully, you won’t have to envy others in the future.

1. Soak red beans, black beans, mung beans, coix seeds, peanuts and lotus seeds for 24 hours.

2.1 Boil the rice dumplings leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and add the horsetail grass and simmer for a while, so that the rice dumplings leaves are not easy to break; soak the jujubes in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes.

3.2 Soak glutinous rice for more than 4 hours.

4.1 Take 2-3 soaked rice leaves and lay them flat and smooth with the shiny side facing upwards.

5.2 Drain all the water and mix well.

6. Fold into a cone shape, fill with soaked glutinous rice, beans and dates, and press firmly.

7. Press the lower sides of the rice dumpling leaf towards the middle.

8. Fold the upper leaves down to cover them, bend the growing leaves into corners, and tie the dumplings tightly with horseweed.

9. Put the rice dumplings into the pot tightly, add water to cover the rice dumplings, and simmer for 3 hours.
