How to make delicious matcha powder

If you are good at pastry cooking, you must be familiar with matcha powder. In fact, many matcha-flavored foods sold now use matcha powder as an ingredient. Matcha powder originated in Japan and has been loved by many people after it was introduced into my country. So, do you know how to make delicious matcha powder? In fact, as long as you like the flavor of matcha, you will like it no matter how it is cooked.

Matcha powder is the popular and vivid name for matcha, which is steamed green tea ground into fine powder using a natural stone mill. It is the freshest and most nutritious tea so far. Because of its natural bright green color, it enhances consumer desire.

Drinking matcha is usually done in the Japanese tea ceremony, which requires following a complex set of rules.

The basic method is to place a small amount of matcha in a tea bowl, add a small amount of warm (not boiling) water, and stir well (traditionally using a tea whisk).

In the Japanese tea ceremony, "strong tea" is made by adding 4 grams of matcha to 60CC of boiling water, which is a bit like a paste. For “thin tea”, use 2 grams of matcha and add 60 CC of boiling water. You can use a tea whisk to create thick foam, which is very beautiful and refreshing.

Green tea is different from ordinary green tea powder, and it is not tea powder in the general sense. The differences between matcha and ordinary green tea powder mainly include the following two aspects:

1. Raw material requirements: Matcha has high requirements on the quality of raw materials, requiring the use of tea leaves with high content of amino acids, protein and chlorophyll, and at the same time requiring the caffeine content in the raw materials to be low. Before picking, there are requirements for the picking time and leaf size of fresh tea leaves. The production time of matcha is relatively short, only about 50 days. It uses high-quality fresh tea leaves produced in April and May as raw materials, and the quality of the matcha produced is the best.

2. The key to the production of matcha: grinding with natural stone mill, and crushing green tea powder with metal crusher.

As people's living standards improve, they care not only about the nutritional content of food, but also its color. People's appetite is almost directly proportional to how good they feel about the food.
