1. Prepare strawberries, tomatoes, kiwis, rock sugar, and bamboo sticks.

2. Soak strawberries and cherry tomatoes in light salt water for 10 minutes, remove the stems and wash them clean.

3. String the processed strawberries, tomatoes and kiwis with bamboo sticks.

4. You can mix and match your favorite fruits, string them together and drain the moisture.

5. Put the pot on the fire and pour in rock sugar.

6. Add boiling water until it just covers the rock sugar, and stir continuously until all the rock sugar melts.

7. Turn to low heat and simmer, being careful not to stir the syrup.

9. After the syrup is ready, quickly put the fruit skewers into the pot and coat them with the syrup.

When the sugar liquid in the pot boils, stop stirring and continue heating on low heat. When there is a crackling sound in the pot, dip a little sugar liquid with chopsticks and put it into cold water to cool. After cooling, bite it with your teeth. If it sticks to your teeth, continue heating it. If it does not stick to your teeth and it feels like eating fruit candy, it proves that the heat is just right. At this time, you can put the pre-threaded hawthorn strings into the sugar pot, roll them around to coat them with sugar liquid, take them out and put them on a wooden board coated with edible vegetable oil, and throw them hard. This way, the candied haws will have a distinct large sugar piece, which is very beautiful. After cooling for five minutes, you can remove it. Hawthorn can be pitted or not. You can also make cuts on the hawthorn with a knife, stuff it with peanut kernels, apple kernels, walnut kernels, etc., and make fancy candied haws.
