3. Preservative treatment

There are often preservatives in canned foods because bacteria will multiply rapidly in a suitable environment. The reason is that preservatives can effectively inhibit the survival of bacteria, making it impossible for the few bacteria to survive, and the shelf life of food is naturally extended. In fact, the more commonly used food preservatives are divided into two types: sorbate and nitrite. Potassium sorbate is basically non-toxic, but nitrite is a carcinogen, which is quite a big problem.

There are prescribed hygiene standards for food additives: it is prohibited to add any additives to canned fruit. However, there are also some inferior canned foods that contain synthetic pigments such as potassium sorbate, carmine, and tartrazine, and the coconuts are "bathed" with sweeteners, industrial-grade pyrolyte, and industrial hydrogen peroxide.

Therefore, when choosing canned yellow peaches, the first thing to consider is the appearance of the flesh. The color of normal canned yellow peaches should be uneven, with a hint of green in golden yellow. The color of the fake canned yellow peach pulp is completely uniform, and the color looks quite harmonious and beautiful. The juice of normal canned yellow peaches should be colorless, while the juice of dyed canned peaches is yellow.

When choosing canned yellow peaches, first look at the soup. If the soup is very yellow, it has been dyed. If the soup is slightly yellowish, it is normal. At the same time, the flesh of dyed canned yellow peaches is unripe and relatively raw.
