How to make black rice and red dates porridge

Food is vital to our human body and is closely related to our life. A good diet can prolong your life. On the contrary, a bad diet can take away our precious lives. So, what constitutes a good diet? I guess I have to at least do it myself. Now, let me introduce to you the method of cooking black rice and red dates porridge.

1. Ingredients: black rice (two small measuring cups, about 250g)

2. Accessories: red dates (10-15 pieces)

3. Seasoning: rock sugar or white sugar as needed

4. Wash and soak the black rice the night before.

5. The next day, remove the soaking water and drain the black rice.

6. Put the black rice into the rice cooker and add a ladle of water, about 1000ml.

7. Plug in the power and press the button to start cooking porridge.

8. After the water in the pot boils, add red dates, cover the lid and continue to cook.

9. Cook for 40 minutes until the porridge in the pot starts to bubble up. To prevent the soup from overflowing, keep the lid of the rice cooker half-covered and continue cooking. (As shown in the picture)

10. When the black rice is soft and the porridge is thick, add rock sugar and stir. (If you use white sugar, you can add it when the dish is ready.)

11. After turning off the power, simmer for about 10 minutes.

12. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious dish!
