Proteinuria Diet

Proteinuria Diet

Proteinuria is not unfamiliar to many people. It is also a common problem in clinical practice. Generally speaking, when a person's kidneys are diseased, the problem of proteinuria will be particularly serious. In this case, in addition to routine treatment and control, attention should also be paid to dietary adjustments. Generally speaking, the diet for proteinuria is quite diverse, and you can also adjust the food according to your own needs.

1. Under normal circumstances, human urine does not contain protein or only contains trace amounts of protein. However, when the kidneys are diseased, the protein that circulates in the blood and flows through the kidneys "leak" due to the reduced filtering function of the kidneys. Protein leaks into the urine and is excreted from the urethra, forming proteinuria. The higher the urine protein, the worse the kidney filtration function, which is an important indicator to measure kidney function. You should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and foods that can supplement calcium, such as milk, dried shrimps, fish and vegetables. Foods rich in magnesium, such as millet, wheat, meat, etc. Foods rich in zinc include millet, wheat, corn flour, cabbage, pumpkin, etc.

2. Poria and Astragalus Porridge: 15 grams of Astragalus, 15 grams of Poria, 100 grams of glutinous rice. Chop the Astragalus and the Poria into small pieces, and cook them together with the glutinous rice into porridge for consumption. This porridge has the effect of invigorating Qi, strengthening the spleen and promoting diuresis. It is very suitable for nephritis proteinuria edema, especially for those with spleen deficiency.

3. In addition, soy milk is rich in protein, which can make up for the decrease in protein blood concentration caused by this disease, and at the same time can make up for the body's insufficient water intake. Celery is rich in acidic vitamin P, which has a good diuretic effect. It can promote the flushing of the renal tubules by urine and reduce the symptoms of renal tubule poisoning. Eggplant is rich in vitamin B and vitamin P, which has the effect of nutritional extension and can improve the symptoms of vascular proteinuria caused by neuropathy.
