How to make homemade fried dough sticks

For those who have just entered the marriage hall, do you feel a little anxious? Since my parents prepared everything for me when I was young, now I have to do everything by myself. Do you feel uncomfortable? Especially cooking. Don’t worry, now let me introduce you to the method of making your own safe fried dough sticks.

1.121 Add sugar and baking powder to the flour and mix well (sugar helps fermentation)

2. Dissolve the 212 yeast in 35-degree warm water and let it sit for a while to fully activate it.

3.12 Pour the yeast water into the flour and stir as much as possible.

4.21 Add warm water to the flour, little by little, stirring while adding, until it becomes snowflake-shaped, slightly softer than the usual dough for making dumplings.

5. Knead the dough until it is smooth (about 15-20 minutes)

6. Cover with plastic wrap and place the basin in a warm place to ferment for 2-3 hours

7. When the dough is twice as big as the original volume and has a dense honeycomb structure, the dough is ready.

8. Take out the fermented noodles, put a little salt and alkali in a bowl and dissolve them.

9. Add the dissolved saline water little by little into the dough, kneading it evenly.

10. After kneading the dough again, wrap it with plastic wrap and wait for it to ferment again (after doing this step, I put it in the refrigerator and take it out the next morning to let it rise a little before frying)

11. Brush oil on the chopping board, take out the fermented dough, divide it into small pieces, and press it into thick dough sheets with your hands. At this time, the dough is very wet and soft. To prevent it from sticking to your hands, you can apply some oil on your hands, or brush a little oil on the surface.

12. Cut the dough into even-sized sticks

13. Flatten the dough stick with your hands

14. Stack the pressed dough sheets in pairs. After stacking, press down from the middle with chopsticks or the back of a knife to stick the two dough sheets together.

15. The dough of fried dough sticks is ready.

16. Heat the oil in a pan until it is 80% to 90% hot, put the raw dough sticks in and fry until both sides are golden brown (the oil temperature must be high, and the raw dough sticks can float up immediately after being put in)

Today’s introduction to homemade safe fried dough sticks ends here. Have you learned how to make this dish? If you have already learned it, what are you waiting for? Go home and try it out, and add more delicious dishes to your own table!
