You will definitely feel happy if there is hot, sweet and delicious meal waiting for you when you come home from get off work every day. Well, now I will teach you how to make raspberry/red currant jam.

1. Remove the stems of the red currants and wash and drain both fruits for later use

2.12 Pour the fruit into the pot, add half of the sugar, mix well, and cook over medium-low heat until the juice comes out.

3.21 Squeeze in the juice of one lemon, pour in the remaining sugar and stir to dissolve

4.12 Turn on high heat and cook until the juice boils, then keep boiling for 15-20 minutes, stirring from time to time to prevent the bottom from getting sticky

5.21 While cooking the jam, sterilize the jam jars. Find a deep pot, put the jam jars and lids in, pour in enough water to completely cover the jars, bring to a boil and simmer for at least 15 minutes, keeping the water in a simmering state. At the same time, sterilize a pair of tongs by boiling them. Find another small dish and put it in the refrigerator to test the consistency of the jam later.

6. When the amount of liquid has been reduced by at least 1/3, take out the chilled small dish and scoop a small spoonful of jam onto the dish. After waiting for half a minute, push the jam on the small dish with your finger. If a thin film forms on the surface and wrinkles slightly, and there is no liquid juice on your finger, it means that the jam has reached the coagulation point. Otherwise, cook a little longer and test again until it reaches the setting point.

7. Remove the foam from the surface of the jam after leaving the heat

8. Immediately remove the bottle with a clamp and drain the water

9. Pour the jam into the bottle while it is still hot, stopping at 1 cm from the bottle mouth.

10. Use a damp paper towel to carefully wipe the mouth of the bottle that is stained with jam, and be careful not to touch the mouth of the bottle with your hands.

11. Immediately remove the bottle cap from the boiling water, shake off the water, put it on the bottle, and tighten it while it is still hot.

12. After all the jams are packed, put them in a deep pot, add boiling water to cover the top of the bottle, and cook on medium heat for at least 15 minutes after boiling, keeping the water boiling throughout the process

13. Remove the cooked jam from the water and let it cool naturally to room temperature. After the jam has cooled, tighten it again.
