If you put them directly into the pot without soaking, it will usually take half an hour to cook until they are soft.

Lily porridge has the effect of clearing away heat and fire, invigorating qi and moistening the lungs.

Peel the pumpkin, slice it, place it on a plate, put the lily on it and steam it for about 20 minutes.

Methods 1-3 above can both use fresh and dried lilies, only method 4 can only use fresh lilies. Generally, fresh lilies only need to be boiled for 5 minutes. Dried lilies should be soaked in water for 1-2 hours and then boiled for 20 minutes. If you put them directly in the pot, they will need to be boiled for about 40 minutes.
