How to make homemade Italian tomato sauce

1. Before making tomato sauce, the container should be boiled in boiling water to sterilize it, then dried for later use.

2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half. No need to peel them. If the tomatoes are large, cut them into quarters.

3. Place tomatoes, garlic cloves and thyme on a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and mix well. Bake in a 200 degree oven for 10 minutes, then turn it down to 150 degrees and continue baking for 45-50 minutes.

4. After removing from the oven, remove the skins of the tomatoes and garlic, and pick out and discard the thyme.

5. Then put the roasted tomatoes and garlic cloves into a food processor and blend them into a puree.

6. Put the prepared tomato sauce into a can, seal it and store it in the refrigerator.

7. When using, just season according to the dishes you cook.
