French caramel almond shortbread recipe

I believe that many people like the French caramel almond biscuits dish in life. The steps in the cooking process seem simple, but every detail should be taken seriously. You can add fresh orange peel, appropriate amount of brown sugar, and ginger. It is also a recipe that can relieve diseases. Friends can try it in the kitchen themselves!

1. First, make the shortbread crust. Soften the butter, add the powdered sugar and beat until smooth

2. Add the egg yolks in batches, beating until fully blended before adding the next batch, until all the egg yolks are added.

3. Sift in the low-gluten flour, stir evenly with a spatula and knead into a dough.

4. Cover the mold with wax paper. I used a 28*28 square mold. Roll the dough into a square, put it into a mold, flatten it, and poke small holes in it with a toothpick. Place in oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

5. Make the caramel part. Put whipped cream, maltose, honey and white sugar into the milk pot and cook on low heat until boiling

6. Add butter and continue to simmer over low heat, stirring carefully to avoid burning the bottom.

7. Turn off the heat when it reaches 115 degrees

8. Pour in almond slices and mix gently with a spoon. Be careful not to crush the almonds.

9. Pour it on the baked shortbread and spread it evenly with a spoon or spatula.

10. Put it in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes. The surface is caramel color

11. Cool until the surface of the caramel almonds is not completely hardened (if it is hardened, bake in the oven at 150 degrees until it is softened and can be cut). Turn it upside down to remove from the mold, tear off the wax paper, and cut into pieces from the back.

When you go home, you can also use your free time to make a French caramel almond cookie to reward yourself. Sometimes it is a very good thing to taste your own cooking skills.
