How to make brown sugar, longan and red date cookies

1. Prepare the ingredients. Cut the butter into small pieces and soften it at room temperature. Remove the pits from the red dates and cut them into pieces with scissors. Toast the walnuts and cut into small pieces. Grind the brown sugar cubes into powder using a food processor.

2. Beat the butter with an electric whisk until smooth, add brown sugar and beat until the volume increases significantly.

3. Pour in the egg liquid in two batches, beating until fully absorbed each time.

4. Sift in the flour and stir evenly with a spatula.

5. Pour in chopped red dates and chopped walnut kernels and continue to stir evenly.

6. After mixing well, pour all into a plastic bag and knead it into a long cylinder. If you like square shapes, you can put them into molds for shaping. (I’ll share a simple method of making a cookie mold. Just cut off one side of a rectangular box such as a tin foil box or toothpaste box.) Freeze the box together with the cookie mold for one hour.

7. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Use a sharp knife to cut the frozen cookies into 0.8 cm thick slices.

8. Middle layer of the oven. Bake for about 25 minutes. Cool on the grill after baking. Keep sealed.

9. Finished product.
