Beef, Onion and Carrot Pie Recipe

Bring some ingredients home after work and cook a good meal. Even if the dishes are not so exquisite, they can still give people a sense of satisfaction. So don’t be lazy if you can cook for yourself. The method of beef, onion and carrot pie is very simple and suitable for those "lazy people". It can also promote health to a certain extent.

1. Use a food processor to grind the beef into minced meat.

2. Add salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, five-spice powder, black pepper, Sichuan pepper powder, cooking wine, sesame oil and oil to the beef paste, stir in one direction with chopsticks, and marinate in the refrigerator for more than an hour.

3. Add shredded carrots and onions into the marinated beef filling and mix well. Then add a small bowl of scallion and ginger water in portions and beat thoroughly until firm. The pancakes made in this way are so juicy!

4. Mix the dough with warm water and stir it into flocs with chopsticks. Let it sit for fifteen minutes. The ratio of water to flour is generally 1:2. The amount of water can be slightly more, depending on the water absorption of the flour. Then knead the dough by hand until it is smooth and your hands are glossy. You can also use a bread machine or a food processor to knead the dough if you’re lazy. After kneading the dough, put it in a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for half an hour.

5. Divide the dough into 13 equal parts. I divided the dough into 13 small parts, each weighing about 50 grams. Then roll the dough into a larger circle, making it slightly thicker at the center and thinner around the circumference.

6. Wrap the filling into the rolled dough and seal it tightly according to the method of making dumplings. The method is as shown in the figure.

7. Flatten the pleated surface with your hands, then turn it over and press it open again with your hands. The pie is about seven or eight centimeters in diameter.

8. Dip the rolling pin in water, put some sesame seeds on it, and then press it lightly on the smooth surface of the dough.

9. Brush the pan with oil, put the dough in and fry on low heat until one side is golden brown, then turn it over and fry the other side until golden brown.

10. Pour in a small bowl of water, just enough to cover the bottom of the pot, cover it, and continue to simmer on low heat.

11. Boil the water in the pot dry, then put the pancake in the pot and fry it for one minute.

12. Let’s serve and enjoy!
