In daily life, there are many types, including electric rice cookers, electric rice cookers, and some people use pressure cookers to steam rice. Pressure cookers are our common pressure cookers, and they have many uses. However, most people like to use pressure cookers to stew meat. How do you use pressure cookers to cook dry rice in daily life?

How to cook dry rice using a pressure cooker?

Put an appropriate amount of rice in the pressure cooker, usually 5 spoons (a large spoon for cooking) is appropriate, and add water to wash the rice in the pot twice, wash it clean, and pour out the rice water.

After washing the rice and pouring out the water, add water to the rice in the pot and shake it slightly to make the rice and water surfaces even and parallel to the bottom of the pot. The amount of water added should be controlled to cover the rice noodles by about half a finger joint (you can also add water according to your personal taste preference, if you like it soft, you can add a little more, if you like it hard, you can add a little less)

After adding water and ensuring that the rice and water surfaces are even and level, cover the pot and heat the pressure cooker on the stove at the highest heat.

After a few minutes, when the valve on the top of the pressure cooker starts to rotate rapidly and emits obvious white steam, reduce the heat to low and heat on low heat for 3-4 minutes.

After 3-4 minutes, turn off the fire on the stove, but you need to wait quietly for the "float" on the handle of the pressure cooker to fall completely before you can open the lid and eat. (If the float does not fall, do not try to open the lid)

After the float falls, you can open the lid and eat.

Uses of pressure cookers

Fried Peanuts

Put peanuts into the pressure cooker and add a little water to dampen the peanuts, cover the pot and put it on the fire. When the pressure limiting valve with air hole starts to smoke, turn down the heat and shake the pot with both hands to turn the peanuts in the pot. Shake the pot once every one or two minutes. Shake the pot three to four times from the time the steam starts to come out, then remove from the heat and let it cool naturally for seven or eight minutes. The peanuts are now fried.

Toast

Add alkali to the fermented soft dough, then add appropriate amount of milk, eggs and sugar, knead the dough, apply a little cooking oil to the bottom of the pot, make bread with the dough, put the raw dough into the pot, and buckle the pressure limiting valve.

Cooking Dumplings in a Pressure Cooker

First put half a pot of water in the pressure cooker. After boiling, stir the water for two weeks with a spoon to make it swirl. Then put in the dumplings. Cover the pot tightly without buckling the valve. Cook over high heat until steam comes out of the valve hole. Turn off the heat after about half a minute, until the valve hole no longer emits steam. Then you can open the pot and scoop out the dumplings.

Pressure cooker bean porridge

Wash the japonica rice and red beans, put them into a pressure cooker, add appropriate amount of water (the amount of water should be enough to allow the beans to fully expand and make the bean porridge of appropriate thickness), cover the pot, boil over high heat, close the pressure valve after boiling, and cook for 15 minutes. The bean porridge is ready.

Cooking Zongzi in a Pressure Cooker

Put the wrapped rice dumplings into the pot, add water to cover the rice dumplings by 1 to 2 cm, cover the pot, boil over high heat, and close the pressure valve after the water boils. The rice dumplings will be cooked after about 15 minutes.
