How to make pumpkin pie with red bean paste

I believe that many people in life like the dish of pumpkin pie with red bean paste filling. The steps in the cooking process seem simple, but every detail should be taken seriously. You can add fresh orange peel, appropriate amount of brown sugar, and ginger. It is also a recipe that can relieve diseases. Friends can try it in the kitchen themselves!

1. Prepare an old pumpkin?.

2. Take an appropriate amount of pumpkin, peel it, wash it, cut it into thin slices, and steam it in a steamer until it is soft.

3. After the pumpkin is steamed, mash it into a paste while it is still hot. (Old pumpkins are sweeter so I didn’t add sugar. If you like sweet, you can add some cotton sugar.)

4. Pour the pumpkin puree into a large bowl while it’s still hot and add appropriate amounts of glutinous rice flour and flour. (The ratio of glutinous rice flour to flour is 2:1)

5. Use chopsticks to stir until it becomes floc-like and then knead it into a smooth dough. Let it sit for a while and prepare other ingredients.

6. Prepare the red bean paste filling.

7. Prepare the bread crumbs.

8. Knead the dough into strips and roll it into several pieces.

9. Take a piece of dough and knead it into a round shape. (If you don’t know how, just press it into a pancake shape)

10. Add the red bean paste.

11. Slowly close the opening towards the middle, roll it into a ball, press it into a pancake shape and coat it with breadcrumbs.

12. Turn it over and get some bread crumbs on it.

13. Make other pumpkin pancakes one by one.

14. Pour appropriate amount of peanut oil into the pan. Add pumpkin pie and fry on low heat.

15. Turn over and fry.

16. Repeat several times, and sprinkle a little water on both sides when they are slightly golden.

17. Cover and simmer for about one minute. The same applies to flipping over. (Because the pancakes I made are relatively large and not easy to cook, I need to simmer them. This way the pancakes will be softer and more delicious.)

18. When both sides turn slightly browned, it is ready to be served! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it’s delicious!

19. I will also show you another frying method. (I use two methods because I cook quite a lot) Pour an appropriate amount of peanut oil into the pot, more than you usually use when cooking.

20. When the oil is 70% hot, add the pumpkin pie. Reduce heat to medium-low and turn the pumpkin pie over to prevent it from burning.

21. Fry until the surface is slightly browned and use a drain spoon to drain the oil.

22. Serve on a plate. The crispy and soft pumpkin pie is filled with sweet red bean paste, so delicious!
