Steamed Shrimp with Egg

Steamed Shrimp with Egg

Steamed shrimp with eggs is a dish that more and more people are beginning to like nowadays. Eating a moderate amount of steamed shrimp with eggs has many benefits for the eater, because eggs and shrimp are relatively easy to digest and have high nutritional value. They are suitable for both the elderly and children. Next, I will introduce to you the method of steaming shrimp with eggs and its nutritional value!

1. Ingredients

Ingredients: 1 egg, appropriate amount of live shrimp

Ingredients: 1 shallot, 2 slices of ginger

Seasoning: 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine, some soy sauce

2. Cooking Method

1. Prepare eggs, live shrimps, green onions and ginger.

2. Wash the shrimps, remove the heads, shells and shrimp threads, then cut into small dices. Add scallion segments and ginger slices, add 1/2 tablespoon of cooking wine, mix well and marinate for a while.

3. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add 1.5 to 2 times the amount of warm water, and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and stir well.

4. Use a colander to filter into the bowl used for steaming.

5. Cover the bowl containing the egg liquid with plastic wrap, poke a few small holes in it with a toothpick, place it on the steaming rack, and put it in cold water. (Personally, I think steaming after boiling is similar to steaming with cold water. The most important thing is to be proficient in it.)

6. Cover with lid and steam for about 5 minutes until the surface of the egg liquid solidifies.

7. Open the plastic wrap, put the diced shrimp evenly, and then cover it with plastic wrap again.

8. Continue steaming until cooked through. Drizzle some light soy sauce and sprinkle with appropriate amount of chopped green onions before serving.

3. Nutritional value

Eggs and shrimps are both rich in nutrients, and steamed shrimps are easy to digest and absorb. Shrimp contains polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA EPA) and a variety of trace elements that are lacking in land animals. It promotes the brain development of children and lowers blood lipids in adults. It is a good match.

Shrimp is rich in nutrients. Shrimp contains 20% protein, which is one of the foods with a high protein content. It is several times or even dozens of times that of fish, eggs, and milk. Compared with fish, the content of valine, an essential amino acid for the human body, in shrimp is not high, but it is a nutritionally balanced source of protein. In addition, shrimp contains glycine. The higher the content of this amino acid, the sweeter the shrimp will taste.
