How to make purple sweet potato glutinous rice

Although there are many restaurants outside, if you look closely, you will find that there are only these types: malatang, dumplings, hot pot, and stir-fried dishes. Perhaps, the dishes in these restaurants taste a lot of "flavor", but most of it is due to the seasoning. You can do better at home if you want. Well, now let me introduce to you the method of making purple sweet potato glutinous rice

1. Ingredients: 150g glutinous rice flour, 30g cornstarch, 20g shredded coconut, 80g cooked red bean paste, sugar, milk (water) as needed (the red bean paste is sweet so I didn’t use sugar)

2.Ingredients: 150 grams of purple sweet potato.

3. Mix the glutinous rice flour and starch, pour in boiling water, and stir with chopsticks until it becomes snowflake-like. Stop adding water.

4. Steam the purple sweet potatoes, peel them while they are still hot and mash them into a paste (I have tried it several times and the steamed purple sweet potatoes with peeled skin are not as sweet as those with skin).

5. Add the glutinous rice flour paste that has been blanched into snowflake shapes into the hot purple potato paste, and use a garlic mortar to crush and fully bond them together.

6. Mix the purple sweet potato and glutinous rice flour into a smooth dough.

7. Make the purple sweet potato dough into small pieces of uniform size, and make the red bean paste into balls that are smaller than the purple sweet potato balls.

8. Press the purple potato balls into round cakes and wrap them with red bean paste.

9. Roll the dough into a smooth ball and the glutinous rice dough is ready.

10. Apply a thin layer of oil on the corn husk (or directly on the steamer), put in the glutinous rice germ and cover it.

11. Steam for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat. Cover and serve for 2 minutes (the diameter of the ones I made is about 2 cm, one bite at a time. The steaming time should be adjusted according to the size of the ones you make).

12. Roll the steamed glutinous rice in a layer of shredded coconut while it’s still hot and the glutinous rice is ready.

13. The finished product is chewy, smooth and colorful. It is a great snack for your baby when you go out for fun.
