In addition to being eaten directly, durian can also be used for cooking. A good example is pairing it with chicken, such as chicken stewed with durian. Chicken stewed with durian smells very strong of durian, but it doesn’t have a strong taste when eaten, but the soup is very sweet.

Ingredients: 100g durian meat, 380g chicken wing root, 9 red dates, and appropriate amount of water.

Wash and peel the chicken, put it into boiling water, soak for about 5 minutes, and chop it into large pieces; soak the walnut kernels in water to remove the oily smell; wash and pit the red dates; remove the tender skin of the durian, take the white sac part inside the durian shell, and cut it into pieces. You can remove the pulp, extract the juice, and cut the rind into small pieces. Because the taste is strong, it is better to put less.

2. Put the chicken, ginger slices, walnut kernels, dates, durian skin and durian flesh into a pot with boiling water, add ginger slices, boil over high heat, then bring to a boil over high heat and simmer over low heat for 2 hours. Add wolfberries in the last ten minutes. After the soup is ready, add salt to taste and you can drink it.
