When to add butter to bread

When to add butter to bread

Bread is something that many people like to eat, especially for some people, who like to eat some bread as breakfast in the morning. Anyone who knows something about bread will know that some butter is added when making bread, mainly to make the bread taste more delicate and sweet. But when making bread, you can’t just put butter in it randomly. You also need to pay attention to the time. So when should you put butter in when making bread?

1. When to add butter when making bread in a bread machine

Add butter after the kneading function is finished.

Please refer to the specific operations:

Ingredients: 120 grams of milk, 5 grams of yeast, 1 egg (about 60 grams), 50 grams of sugar, 1 gram of salt (if using salted butter, use 1 gram, if using unsalted butter, use 5 grams of salt), 220 grams of high-gluten flour, 100 grams of low-gluten flour, and 30 grams of salted butter.

step:

1. Warm the milk slightly, not too hot. Put your finger in it and it should be about body temperature. Then add the yeast, stir gently and let it stand for 3 minutes; at this time, you can sift the high/low gluten flour mixture, put the eggs, sugar and salt into the bread bucket, and then add the sifted flour.

2. Put the bread bucket into the bread machine, start the dough kneading function, and add the milk with dissolved yeast while kneading the dough.

3. When the dough kneading function is finished, add the melted butter and restart the dough kneading function (about 15 minutes)

4. When the kneading function is finished, take out the dough. You will smell a very fragrant buttery smell from the dough.

5. Pinch the dough into small pieces and put them into the bread pan. This procedure is to make the bread texture more layered.

6. Reset the bread machine to: sweet bread, weight: 750g, color: light. Wait for the bread to be baked and then it can be taken out of the oven.

2. Why do we need butter when making bread?

If you make bread in a bread machine at home without adding butter, it is just like baked high-gluten flour steamed buns. When making bread, simply adding fresh milk or milk powder is not enough, and it still won’t have the fragrant milky flavor. If you add butter instead of salad oil when kneading the dough at the beginning, the bread you make will be fragrant and delicious. You should buy animal butter, which is butter. The butter is frozen. Cut it into pieces before use, melt it in the microwave and add it to the dough instead of salad oil.
