How to cook beef with pepper

1. Wash beef, bay leaves, star anise, tangerine peel and shallots;

2. Prepare the green pepper and pumpkin;

3. Pour enough water into the pot to cover the beef, roll the shallots into small circles, add tangerine peel, star anise, bay leaves, cooking wine and a little salt, bring to a boil over high heat and simmer for 60 minutes;

4. While the beef is stewing, dice the green pepper, slice the pumpkin, chop the garlic, and mix the starch with 2 tablespoons of water;

5. When the beef is almost done, place the pumpkin slices on a plate and steam them. Steaming them too early will make them cold and unpalatable.

6. Steam in a steamer for 15 minutes;

7. The beef is ready and very fragrant, but it has shrunk to only a small piece;

8. Take out the beef and place it on a cutting board to cool slightly, then cut into thin slices (it seems I didn’t cut it thin enough);

9. Place the beef neatly on the pumpkin and sprinkle the chopped raw garlic on the beef;

10. Heat the pan again, add appropriate amount of oil, add green pepper and stir-fry, add rice vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, chicken essence and salt, stir-fry until cooked, add water starch to thicken;

11. Spread the green peppers evenly on the beef and sprinkle with sesame oil;
