How to make steamed buns

The old saying "Misfortune comes from the mouth, trouble comes from the mouth" makes a lot of sense, because the latest medical research has found that the vast majority of diseases in the human body are caused by "eating". So for the sake of health, we must eat healthily. To eat healthily, it is best for us to cook for ourselves. Now, please learn from me how to make steamed buns.

1. Pour warm water into a bowl, dissolve the sugar first, then add the yeast and let it stand for 5 minutes to dissolve.

2.12 Pour the flour into a larger bowl.

3.21 Slowly pour the yeast water into the flour, stirring with chopsticks until it becomes flocs without dry powder.

4.1 Cover with lid and let ferment until it doubles in size.

5.2 After kneading the dough into a rough ball, add lard and knead it into a smooth and delicate San Guang dough.

6. Take out the fermented dough, exhaust it on a panel sprinkled with a little dry powder, knead it into a smooth dough again, and then knead it into small long strips. (If you want to make steamed buns without bubbles on the surface, try to remove the bubbles in the dough in this step)

7. Use a knife to cut the dough into steamed buns of similar size. (When cutting steamed buns, you don’t cut them slowly like you would vegetables, but rather “chop” them into pieces with one stroke. The action should be quick and accurate. Although I can’t cut them into the same size myself, this is a matter of practice makes perfect. You will improve naturally with more practice.)

8. The cut surface of the steamed bun dough should be smooth and no bubbles should be visible.

9. Place the cut steamed bun dough on a steaming rack coated with a thin layer of oil and ferment for half an hour. (Or you can put a cloth on the steamer rack.)

10. Pour into a pot of cold water, bring to a boil over high heat then switch to medium heat and steam for about 5 minutes. The steaming time can be increased or decreased according to the size of the steamed buns. (I added cold water to the pot during the second fermentation, and steamed it directly after fermentation)

11. Do not open the lid immediately after the steamed buns are finished. Keep them in the steamer for about 3 minutes before opening the lid. When opening the lid, try not to let water droplets on the lid fall onto the buns to avoid causing them to collapse.

When the whole family sits together eating delicious dishes, and looking at their smiles as they enjoy the delicious food, I think the housewives are the happiest. So today, the housewives should quickly make this nutritious and delicious steamed bun for their families.
