How to make chicken drumstick bread (a snack for the childhood memories of the post-90s generation)

Chicken drumstick bread (a snack worthy of the childhood memories of those born in the 90s) is a very common dish, but it can be eaten in many different ways, with a variety of cooking methods that can provide different visual and taste stimulations. It looks very delicious. If you like it with a light flavor, it is also very delicious without adding chili. If you like it with a strong flavor, you can add more chili. I hope it tastes delicious.

2. Add all the above ingredients except butter and ham into the bread pan.

3. After kneading to the complete stage, a strong film can be pulled out.

4. Start the bread machine and knead the dough until it expands. Add softened butter and continue kneading.

5. Let the dough ferment until it doubles in size and does not shrink when you poke a hole with your finger dipped in water.

6. Roll into a ball and place in a container, cover with plastic wrap and carry out basic fermentation. The temperature of the first hair should not exceed 28 degrees.

7. Prepare disposable chopsticks and sausage. Remove the casing of the ham, cut it into two pieces and put them on the chopsticks.

8. Fold, press and exhaust, then weigh and divide into 8 equal parts. Each dough is about 60g in size. Roll into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 15 minutes.

9. Roll the relaxed dough into an oval shape.

10. Turn over, place horizontally with the smooth side facing down, and press the bottom edge to make it thinner.

11. Roll up from top to bottom to form a long strip.

12. After completing the steps, cover with plastic wrap and let relax for 5 minutes.

13. Slightly flatten the thick end and press it on the ham sausage.

14. Pinch one end of the relaxed long strip with your left hand, and start to stretch the middle part to the right with your right hand, as shown in the picture, with one end thick and the other thin.

15. After rolling, pinch the thin end of the tail tightly. As shown in the picture. Don’t roll too many layers, 4-5 layers will be enough, with the top larger and the bottom smaller, in the shape of a chicken leg.

16. Then gently wrap it up.

17. Complete the steps one by one and place them at intervals on a non-stick baking tray. If the baking tray is not a non-stick baking tray, you can apply some corn oil to prevent it from sticking.

18. The ingredients can be used to make eight chicken leg breads. It is best to space them apart to avoid sticking and affecting the finished product.

19. Put a bowl of hot water on the bottom layer of the oven for final fermentation. The second serve temperature should not exceed 38 degrees.

20. Take out when fermented to about 1.5-2 times its size.

21. Take out when fermented to 1.5-2 times its size.

22. Pour a little more oil into the pot and heat it to 160 degrees, which is about 50% to 60% hot and slightly smoking. Add the fermented chicken thigh bread dough and fry over low heat. Don't put too much at one time, as it will expand during the frying process, so avoid sticking. The raw bread dough floats on the oil surface, half fried and half deep-fried. After frying one side, turn it over and fry the other side until both sides are golden brown. Don't use too big a fire to avoid burnt outside and raw inside.

23. After frying, take out the fish and use kitchen oil-absorbing paper to absorb excess oil on the surface.

29. The picture shows my little Qiqi chewing on a chicken leg bread. When he bit into the sausage, he jumped for joy as if he had discovered a new world, and shouted, “Mom, look! There is sausage hidden inside!” Let your children also experience the snacks you had as a child, what a wonderful feeling!

Some people may say that they cannot cook for themselves due to long working hours. In fact, chicken drumstick bread (a snack in the childhood memories of those born in the 90s) is easy to make and can be prepared in a very short time.
