Pony-shaped steamed buns
How to make pony-shaped steamed buns (with pictures and 36 steps). Prepare the ingredients.

Method
- 01
Step 1
Prepare ingredients

- 02
Step 2
First, add the sugar to the flour and mix well.

- 03
Step 3
Dissolve the yeast in the milk

- 04
Step 4
Pour into flour

- 05
Step 5
Knead into a super smooth dough

- 06
Step 6
Divide the dough into the following portions: 1 x 200 , 2 x 50 , 1 x 30 , 2 x 25 , and 2 x 15 (the amount of milk needed will vary depending on the dryness of the flour, so you can simply divide the final dough in half; it doesn't have to be exactly 15 and won't affect the later steps).

- 07
Step 7
Add a small amount of green food coloring to 200 of dough and knead to make 50 light green dough. Add a small amount of red food coloring to each of the 50g doughs and knead to make a pink dough. Add an appropriate 25 of green food coloring to 30 of dough and knead to make a green dough. Add Oreo cookie crumbs and red food coloring to two 25g doughs and knead to make Oreo dough and red dough respectively. Add yellow food coloring to one of 15 doughs and knead to make a yellow dough. Set the other white dough aside as shown in the picture.

- 08
Step 8
Roll the light green dough into a ball, then flatten it into a ball about 1 cm thick and 13 cm in diameter. (See picture.)

- 09
Step 9
To make the dough, roll out the green dough into a thin sheet about 1 mm thick, and cut it into the shape shown in the picture. The width should be about 1.5 mm, and the length should be determined according to the circumference of the light green dough. Alternatively, you can cut it into two pieces.

- 10
Step 10
Apply a small amount of water to the perimeter of the round dough as shown in the picture.

- 11
Step 11
Roll the remaining green ingredients into thin strips.

- 12
Step 12
Apply a small amount of water and stick it to the round dough in a circular motion as shown in the picture.

- 13
Step 13
Take one-third of the Oreo dough, roll it out into a long, thin sheet about 1 mm thick, and cut it into the shape shown in the picture.

- 14
Step 14
Cut the yellow dough into four pieces about the size of peanuts, and set the rest aside.

- 15
Step 15
Roll each of the separated yellow dough balls into long strips and use them to make the words "Happy Birthday." Moisten the strips with a little water and attach them to the cut Oreo dough pieces as shown in the picture.

- 16
Step 16
Divide the Oreo dough into the following portions: 4 pea-sized pieces (for the pony's eyes), 12 pea-sized pieces (for the pony's hooves, tail tip, and mane), 2 sesame-sized pieces (for the pony's mouth). This is the amount for two ponies. You will have some dough left over.

- 17
Step 17
Divide the pink dough into two portions: 2 pea-sized pieces (for the pony's tail and ears) 4 peanut-sized pieces (for the pony's legs). Divide the remaining dough into 2 equal parts, as shown in the picture.

- 18
Step 18
Roll each part of the pony's body into a round shape. Shape the head into a slightly narrower oval. Roll the Oreo dough into strips 3 4 long, roll each strip into a ball, moisten with a little water, and attach it to one end of the pony's leg. Roll the pony's tail into a thin, long strip, and cut out a teardrop shape from Oreo dough. Use scissors to cut out mane-like hair, moisten with a little water, and attach it to one end of the pony's tail dough. See the picture.

- 19
Step 19
Apply a small amount of water to the horse's legs and tail and attach them to their respective positions on the horse's body, as shown in the picture. (Horse body section)

- 20
Step 20
Roll out the white dough into a thin sheet about 1 mm thick, and cut out the shapes shown in the picture using a round cookie cutter. If you don't have a cookie cutter, you can also cut out semicircles with a knife.

- 21
Step 21
Moisten the cut-out white dough with a little water and attach it to the narrower side of the horse's head, as shown in the picture. Poke two nostrils with chopsticks, as shown in the picture.

- 22
Step 22
Take a small piece of white dough, slightly smaller than the pink dough for the horse ear shape, and roll it out into an elongated oval shape, about 2 cm long for the pink dough. Stack them on top of the white dough, as shown in the picture.

- 23
Step 23
Cut it in half lengthwise, then pinch the two ends together as shown in the picture.

- 24
Step 24
Roll the Oreo mouth dough into a long strip, about 2 cm long, as shown in the picture.

- 25
Step 25
Shape the Oreo mane dough into an elongated oval and cut out the mane as shown in the picture. For the Oreo eyes, roll the dough into balls, moisten with a little water, and attach them to the corresponding positions on the horse's head, as shown in the picture.

- 26
Step 26
Apply a small amount of water to the horse's ears, mane, and mouth, and attach them to the corresponding positions on the horse's head. The ears can be secured with two toothpicks, as shown in the picture. The horse's head is now complete.

- 27
Step 27
The other pony was also finished. I made a lying pony, and you can use your imagination to create any shape you like.

- 28
Step 28
Divide the red dough into small dough balls according to your preferred size.

- 29
Step 29
Use the remaining dough to create small flowers, mushrooms, ladybugs, snails, and more.

- 30
Step 30
Place the dough pieces in a steamer basket, put them in a pot of cold water, turn on low heat for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and let them ferment 20 minutes (the time is for reference only; ferment until the dough slightly increases in size and springs back slowly when lightly pressed with a finger). Turn the heat to high, and steam for about 30 minutes after the water boils. Turn off the heat and let it sit 3 minutes.

Step 31

- 32
Step 32
Simply use toothpicks to assemble it as you like.
