1. Prepare supplies.

4. Mix the pudding liquid.

5. The pudding liquid needs to be filtered 2 to 3 times to make it smooth.

6. Pour into a 120cc container. (If there are small bubbles on the surface, you can pop them with a toothpick or a sharp tool)

7. Cover with a layer of aluminum foil (to prevent steam from flowing into the cup), put the pudding into a steamer with boiling water, steam over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, and simmer for 10 minutes until the surface of the pudding is solidified. (Important point: Don’t turn up the heat too high, otherwise the pudding liquid will boil and it won’t look pretty)

8. While the pudding is steaming, make the syrup. Put granulated sugar and hot water into a pot, heat on very low heat, do not stir or shake, and turn off the heat when the sugar gradually melts and turns dark golden yellow. (Sugar melts and changes color very quickly, so keep an eye on it to see the changes, otherwise it will become bitter if you overcook it)

9. Finished syrup product.

10. Pour syrup over the steamed pudding and it’s done.

11. Let cool and store in refrigerator.
