Can people with high blood sugar eat bananas?

High blood sugar is an extremely harmful disease. If not treated in time, it will turn into diabetes. Therefore, patients with high blood sugar must pay attention to their diet. Foods such as bananas will be converted into glucose after consumption, aggravating the condition, so it is better not to eat them; however, fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, bayberries, etc. can be consumed in moderation.

1. Can people with high blood sugar eat bananas?

The problem with bananas is not just the level of monosaccharides, but mainly because bananas that are more mature also have a higher starch content.

Starch is formed by a large number of glucose molecules aggregated together. After eating starchy foods, the starch is digested into glucose in the digestive tract and then absorbed into blood sugar (blood sugar is glucose). This effect is very obvious.

However, if diabetic patients want to eat fruit, quantitative management is still very important. Generally, no more than 2 taels each time, and a maximum of 2 times a day. Timing is also very important. Never eat it with a meal. It is best to leave a 2-hour interval with a regular meal.
