How to make multi-layered red bean paste rolls

1. 400g high-gluten flour, 4g yeast powder, 10g white sugar, 220ml 40-degree warm water.

2. 100g red bean paste; you can also make it yourself.

3. Add sugar and yeast to the flour, add warm water and stir into dough, then knead into a smooth dough.

4. Place in a warm place to ferment until it is 2-2.5 times larger.

5. Knead the fermented dough evenly to expel the gas, and divide it into even-sized portions.

6. Take a dough and roll it into an oval cake shape.

7. Spread the red bean paste filling evenly.

8. After rolling up, cut it in half along the length.

9. Pick up a piece, cut the edge outwards, roll the two ends inwards, and pinch them tightly to form a raw dough for the flower roll. You can also stack two pieces together and roll them up to make them larger and have more layers.

10. Cover the raw bean paste rolls with a wet cloth and let the sugar rise for about 20 minutes.

11. Add water to the steamer, put in the red bean paste roll dough, and gradually heat it up. After the water boils, steam over high heat for 15 minutes.

12. After turning off the heat, let it sit for 3-5 minutes before removing the lid. It can be served on a plate.
