How to steam glutinous rice

How to steam glutinous rice

Remember not to wash the rice more than 3 times. 2. Soak the rice: Soak the rice in cold water for 1 hour. This allows the rice grains to fully absorb water. Five types of people should be careful about eating

2. People with weak digestion after illness. Glutinous rice is sticky, and if it is made into cakes, it will be more difficult to digest. People with weak digestion after illness should avoid eating glutinous rice cakes. Although the patient's appetite has improved, the digestive function is still weak. Excessive consumption of glutinous rice is not conducive to recovery.

3. People with diabetes. Because diabetic patients have abnormal sugar metabolism, they should avoid eating polysaccharide foods. Rice is hydrolyzed into glucose in the body, especially glutinous rice foods, which have a higher sugar content and should be avoided.

4. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases. Glutinous rice is warm in nature and can cause gas stagnation. It contains a lot of long-lasting plant fiber. Eating too much will increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract. If people suffering from stomach disease and duodenal ulcer eat too much glutinous rice, it is very likely to cause ulcer perforation and bleeding, making the condition worse.

5. The elderly and children. Glutinous rice is very sticky. If the elderly and children eat too much, it is easy to cause indigestion, and the resulting symptoms such as excessive stomach acid, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
