How to make authentic pineapple sticky rice

Pineapple glutinous rice is quite famous. It has high nutritional value and can promote appetite. It is also relatively simple to make. You need to prepare a pineapple and an appropriate amount of glutinous rice. In order to increase the health benefits of glutinous rice, you can also add other ingredients, such as dates, wolfberries, lotus seeds, etc. You can also add white sugar. It tastes very sweet and has good nutritional effects.

How to make authentic pineapple sticky rice

Main ingredients: 1 pineapple, half a bowl of glutinous rice. Supplementary ingredients: 6 red dates, 20 lotus seeds, 15 wolfberries, 20 raisins, 2 spoons of sugar

1. Cut the pineapple in 1/3, remove the flesh in the middle, and soak it in salt water for 15 minutes.

2. Soak glutinous rice the night before, and soak red dates and lotus seeds 30 minutes in advance.

3. Remove the core of the red dates and cut into small pieces, and cut the pineapple into small cubes.

4. Put dates, lotus seeds, raisins and wolfberries in a glutinous rice bowl, add 2 spoons of sugar, mix well, and steam in a pot of boiling water for 45 minutes.

5. Move the steamed glutinous rice into the pineapple shell and add the chopped pineapple cubes.

6. Cover with lid and steam for another 10 minutes.

7. Fruit-flavored eight-treasure rice pudding.

Cooking tips: It is best to soak the glutinous rice the night before and add the pineapple later. The first time I steamed them together, my son said they were not tasty.

Ingredients: 1 pineapple, 200 grams of glutinous rice, 1 spoon of sugar, some coconut milk

Steps

1. Soak glutinous rice for more than 5 hours in advance.

2. Drain the water used to soak the glutinous rice and pour in an appropriate amount of coconut milk, just enough to cover the glutinous rice.

3. Put the glutinous rice into the steamer and steam it until 90% cooked. Use less water than usual when steaming glutinous rice. The amount of water should just cover the rice.

4. Cut the pineapple lengthwise and scoop out the flesh, being careful not to dig through it. Chop the pineapple into small cubes and soak them in water for 10 minutes.

5. Add a spoonful of white sugar to the steamed glutinous rice and mix evenly while it is hot.

6. Drain the pineapple, add appropriate amount of pineapple cubes to the glutinous rice (the amount of pineapple depends on your preference, about half a pineapple is enough), and mix them evenly.

7. Put the mixed pineapple rice into a pineapple bowl. The recipe provides just enough for two bowls, no more, no less, for two people.

8. Place the pineapple bowl in the steamer.

9. Steam for 20 minutes before serving.

10. Strong pineapple aroma and light coconut aroma.

11. It tastes sweet and sour and is so delicious that you can’t stop eating it.
