How to make small rice cake

As the National Day holiday is approaching, you must be very excited. You must have already thought about where to go for fun. What to eat? Although there are many delicious foods outside, the hygiene is very worrying. Instead of doing that, you might as well do it yourself. Well, now I will teach you how to make small rice cakes.

Put a bowl of cold water in a 1.15-inch bowl and put the appropriate amount of sugar in to melt.

2.2 Boil the pomelo leaves picked at home in water for a few minutes, add a few drops of oil, remove and cut off the excess parts and set aside.

3.1 Turn on low heat and stir quickly with chopsticks while cooking to prevent the cooked flour from burning. Put the cooked flour into the remaining dry glutinous rice flour, add some lard and mix the flour while hot. If the moisture is not enough, add boiling water until the flour is mixed into a dough. Pinch a piece of dough that is slightly smaller than the mooncake mold, roll it into a ball, put it into the mold, and gently press down with the handle of the mold, and it will come out in the shape of a finished dessert. Put pomelo leaves on the bottom of the finished dim sum to make it sticky. The steamed dim sum will also have the fragrance of the leaves. Put the dim sum in a pot with cold water and steam it for about 15 to 20 minutes, until it is cooked. Turn on low heat and stir quickly with chopsticks while cooking to avoid burning.

4.2 After the sugar is completely dissolved, add about 1/3 of the glutinous rice flour into the sugar water and stir evenly with chopsticks.

5. Put the cooked flour into the remaining dry glutinous rice flour, add some lard and knead the flour while it is hot. If the moisture is not enough, add boiling water until the flour is kneaded into a ball.

6. Pinch a piece of dough that is slightly smaller than the mooncake mold, roll it into a ball, put it into the mold, and press down gently with the handle of the mold. It will come out in the shape of a finished dessert.

7. Place grapefruit leaves underneath the prepared dim sum to make it sticky. The steamed dim sum will also have the fragrance of the leaves. There is no need to leave too much space between each dim sum as they will not ferment later.

8. Put the dim sum in a pot with cold water and steam it for about 15 to 20 minutes until it is cooked through.

9. It tastes especially good when eaten hot, soft and with a sweet taste. After it cools down, you can steam it or fry it. I remember someone at home made it with a filling~~
