Pour the two kinds of glutinous rice into the pot in step 3 and stir-fry evenly to make the filling. Set aside 5. Pour a little salad oil into the casing 6. Stuff the stuffing into the sausage casings made in step 5 until 70% to 80% full. 7. Take a toothpick, poke some small holes in the casing, put it in boiling water and take it out 8. Bring the water in the steamer to a boil, put the glutinous rice sausage into the steamer, steam it over medium heat for about 30 minutes, then take it out and cut it into diagonal pieces. Glutinous Rice Sausage Ingredients: 1 small pig intestine, 300g glutinous rice, 40g shallots, 3 shiitake mushrooms, 1.5 cups water, 1.5 teaspoon pepper, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1.5 teaspoon five-spice powder, 1 teaspoon sugar. Instructions: Slice the shallots and dice the mushrooms. After sautéing shallots, add diced mushrooms and stir-fry until fragrant. After adding glutinous rice and stir-frying, add seasoning and continue stir-frying. Add water and fry until dry. While the glutinous rice is cooling, wash the pig intestines first. Stuff 2-3 cloves of garlic into the intestine, push down along the casing, and the dirt inside the intestine will be pushed out. Then rinse with water until it is clean. If you feel it is not clean, repeat the action. It’s time to start the enema. I use the top of a plastic bottle, which is both environmentally friendly and practical. Secure the tail end of the intestine with toothpicks and thread, and start stuffing glutinous rice in until it is all filled. Divide the glutinous rice into six sections and tie them tightly with thread. Steam for 30 minutes. (I boiled it with water, but found that the water kept running into the casing, causing it to burst, wasting my glutinous rice:(. So it’s better to steam it:D) Tofu and five-grain rice sausage Ingredients 1 large bowl of five-grain rice 1 small box of lotus tofu Some salad dressing 2 cucumber shreds 1 pack of almond cheese balls 5 Vietnamese pancake wrappers Method Add lotus tofu to the five-grain rice and mix well, then take the cheese ball (ordinary cheese slices are also fine) and crush it, then add it together and mix well This pancake wrapper is purchased from a Vietnamese store in the market. Just apply some cold water and it will soften in a short time. Then sandwich the upper and lower pieces of tofu and five-grain rice and flatten it. Then put it in a frying pan and fry it slowly until golden. Because the softened pancake wrapper is very thin and easy to break, I fry it when it is about golden, then take it out of the pan, use another softened pancake wrapper and roll it into a long strip, put it in the pan and fry it over low heat until golden, then take it out of the pan, cut it into slices with scissors, and prepare cucumber shreds, spread them on top, squeeze salad dressing and enjoy! |
