1. Step 1, make the dough: a. Add yeast to the Hetao snowflake flour and mix it with warm water to make a soft dough; b. Put it in a room temperature of 22 degrees and let it rise for half an hour to make the dough, commonly known as old dough or dough starter

2.1 Step 3, prepare the oil pastry: a. Weigh the sesame oil, add Hetao snowflake powder, sugar and fennel powder, mix evenly into a thick paste, and set aside.

3.2 Step 2, dough: a. Take the fermented dough and add milk powder, baking soda, sugar, sesame oil, vegetable oil and appropriate amount of water, knead into dough, until the dough is smooth, add some sugar and wait

4. Step 4, shaping: a. Roll out the kneaded dough into a rectangle of 55cm long and 30cm wide, then spread the prepared pastry, sprinkle with 50g dry flour, fold it up and cut it from the middle (fold it narrower), roll it up from left to right with the cut side facing up, and tuck the tail underneath to form the dough; Tips: [The dough can be cut shorter. Before rolling it up, use both hands to pull it to both sides to make it more slender and then roll it up. After pulling and tying, the layers will become thinner and the length will increase, so that when rolled out, there will be more layers and it will be beautiful. Don’t worry about it breaking, the dough has become quite flexible and elastic at this point, it’s amazing! 】

5. Step 5, baking: a. Raise the oven temperature to 200 degrees, put the raw dough into the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the surface is golden brown (if you don’t have an oven at home, you can also use a thick-bottomed pan to bake both sides)
