How to use a rice cooker to make soup

The functions of the rice cooker are very many. It can not only be used to make soup and cook, but also to cook dishes. In particular, the taste of the soup is very delicious. Because the method is also very simple, it is loved by many people. If you add some nutritious food to make soup, it can also play a role in health preservation and warming the stomach, which is very beneficial to the body. So how to use the rice cooker to make soup?

First, how to use a rice cooker to make soup? For vegetable soup, it is very simple. Wash and cut the vegetables, put them into the pot and add canned broth. Generally, it will be enough to cover the vegetables slightly. Because vegetables will release water, don't add too much broth. After seasoning, depending on your rice cooker, it usually has a soup option. If not, just use the one for porridge. For meat, you should pay attention to choosing meat like pork belly, which is the kind that is fattened more evenly. Not so suitable for big bones. Cook the meat first and then the vegetables. Otherwise the vegetables will become crispy very early. In addition, the amount of evaporation when cooking soup in a rice cooker is very small, which means that if you are worried about the soup drying out, that rarely happens. Basically, the amount of water after cooking is about the same as when you added it. If you feel the meat is not tender enough, you can adjust the heat-keeping setting and simmer it.

Second, be sure to put the lid on before it boils, as this will heat up faster and save electricity. After boiling, the steam valve must be removed, because bubbles will come out after boiling, and the bubbles will stop coming out if the steam valve is removed. If bubbles come out, don't open the lid in a hurry, because there is a lot of soup on the lid. If you open the lid rashly, the soup will flow into the rice cooker and cause electric leakage. You need to push the button and wait for about 5 minutes before opening the lid.

How to use an electric rice cooker to make soup? After the soup is cooked, remember not to turn off the power and keep the soup warm before eating. This way it can maintain the appropriate temperature and will not get cold. Finally, a reminder: do not use a hard spoon, such as an iron or stainless steel spoon, as it will damage the non-stick coating on the surface of the inner pot. Use a plastic spoon instead. By paying attention to the above points, you can safely and securely use an electric rice cooker without a soup-making function to make soup.
