Beef Stroganoff Recipe

If you cook a dish for a hundred people, it will taste a hundred different ways, mainly because of the different cooking methods. But if the method of making a dish is fixed, can you make it taste like a chef? Now, I will teach you how to make beef stroganoff.

1. This is a family photo of the materials needed for the whole family. We made the yogurt ourselves (because the recipe requires sour yogurt, and yogurt in China is processed later and is sweeter. Here we use yogurt made from whole milk)

2. First, wash the beef, drain the moisture, cut into 2cm strips, and then beat it hard to about 1cm thick as shown in the picture. (Normally you need a special hammer for beating meat, but we didn't find one in this small place, so we used a rolling pin, but the effect was not good enough, I hope you can forgive me.)

3. After the meat is beaten, cut it into strips about 3-4cm long. Then add salt and black pepper (more or less according to your taste) and marinate for about 20 minutes.

4. Chop the onion into small pieces. It is best to use purple onion because it tastes sweeter than yellow onion.

5. Then start frying the onions until golden brown.

6.Put the butter in a non-stick pan and turn on the heat to let it start to melt.

7. Stir it to make the butter melt faster. Once the butter is completely melted, add the marinated beef.

8. Start frying the beef!

9. Fry the beef until it changes color.

10. Add the onions fried earlier!

11. After frying the onion and beef for about 1-2 minutes, add flour to give them more texture.

12. Mix the flour, meat and onion thoroughly.

13. After the flour is mixed, you can add the yogurt.

14. After adding the yogurt, mix them well just like the flour, then you can add the tomato sauce. Mix them again, and when mixed, add 250ml of water or broth (for better taste) and start cooking them for about 40-50 minutes. You need to check the water in the middle. If there is not enough water, you can add a small amount of water. Wait until the beef becomes soft and you can serve it.

15. It can be eaten with rice, pasta, buckwheat and tastes great.
