Thermos cup for cooking porridge

First, prepare a thermos cup with good heat preservation effect. People often use thermos cups to drink water or make tea. The function of a thermos cup, as the name suggests, is to keep warm. However, there has been a rumor online recently that you can use a thermos to cook noodles or even porridge. So, some people wonder how the porridge can be cooked in a thermos cup. In fact, drinking porridge is also very good for people's health. Although what is said online is correct, there are still a few things to note.

Washed rice (note that the amount of rice should not exceed half of the capacity of the thermos cup) and a pot of boiling water. Put the washed rice into a thermos cup and add some boiling water to soak it. After soaking, pour out the water that soaked the rice, and quickly pour the freshly boiled water into the thermos. Note that the rice and water should not exceed two-thirds of the thermos. Then cover the cup, wait for a while, open the cup lid, add some salt, soy sauce and other seasonings and then eat.

Next is the method of making porridge

Ingredients: about 50 grams of millet, a small spoon of wolfberry

1. Soak the millet and wash the wolfberry before going to bed at night.

2. Pour boiling water into the thermos cup and shake it a few times to preheat. Repeat 2-3 times

3. Put the washed millet and wolfberry into the preheated thermos cup and pour in boiling water.

4. Tighten the bottle cap, cover the outer cover, and let it sit.

Finally, some precautions for cooking porridge in a thermos cup

Although it is feasible to cook porridge in a thermos cup, it may not be successful every time, and there are many issues to pay attention to. The first thing is the choice of thermos cup. The insulation effect of thermos cups varies. When purchasing, consumers are advised to choose those with better insulation effect, because the better the insulation effect, the greater the chance of successfully cooking porridge and the shorter the cooking time.

Also, there is the issue of capacity. We all know that the capacity of a thermos is small, usually only a few hundred milliliters, so the amount that can be cooked each time is not much. If you want to eat more or for two or more people, it is not suitable to use a thermos to cook porridge, or you have to cook it multiple times, which is not very convenient. Also, you must be quick when pouring the boiling water and raw materials to prevent the temperature of the boiling water from dropping too much, resulting in a long simmering time or even undercooking.
