Material:

2 lotus roots, 250g glutinous rice, 4 tablespoons of sweet osmanthus, some rock sugar, 5-6 red dates

step:

1. Soak glutinous rice for more than 2 hours and set aside. Wash lotus root and cut off both ends.

2. Put the soaked glutinous rice into the holes of the lotus root and press the rice firmly with chopsticks.

3. After filling with glutinous rice, use a few toothpicks to fix the four cut tips of the two lotus roots to the lotus root body.

4. Fill the pot with water, put the lotus root and red dates in, and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. Add rock sugar and cook over medium-low heat for more than 1 hour until it becomes soft. Add sugared osmanthus in the last 10 minutes and cook until the flavors are absorbed.

5. Take out the cooked lotus root, add rock sugar to the lotus root soup, adjust it to your preferred sweetness, and collect the juice. After cooling, add a tablespoon of sugar osmanthus to enhance the flavor.

Ingredients: red dates, honey, glutinous rice flour, cooked white sesame seeds

1. Soak the red dates for half an hour in advance.

2. Add boiling water to half a bowl of glutinous rice flour and mix well. Knead into dough.

3. Drain the red dates, cut them in the middle (being careful not to cut them off), and remove the core. Remove the core of the red dates.

4. Take the glutinous rice dough, roll it into small strips, stuff it into the red dates, and gently knead it. Wrap them one by one.

To prevent your hands from sticking, sprinkle some cooked cake powder on the chopping board and hands during the operation.
