This way, the steamed cake will have even holes. Otherwise, it will have big bubbles.

5. Wash the dried red dates, soak them for 20 minutes, pour them into a pot, add water and boil for 5 minutes, then remove the core and slice the red dates. The purpose of boiling dried red dates in advance is to remove the sour taste. I bought this kind of big red dates. You only need to put 5-6 of them in to make red date steamed cake. Rinse the raisins and wolfberries and set aside.

6. Brush a layer of oil around the mold box, put the kneaded dough into the box, and smooth it with your hands.

7. Sprinkle chopped red dates, raisins and some wolfberries on top, cover with a damp cloth, place in a warm place, and let it rise again for 30-40 minutes (if the weather is cold, the rising time can be extended). The bigger it rises, the better. I use a baking mold box. You can use a steamer at home instead, and then put the cloth in the pot to prevent sticking.

8. Steam in a steamer over high heat for 25-30 minutes, then turn off the heat. Then turn the steamed cake upside down on the cutting board and cut it into the shape you want before eating.
