How to make Guangshan barley porridge

1. Ingredients preparation: Soak yam slices, coix seeds and lilies overnight in advance. Wash other ingredients and set aside.

2. Add appropriate amount of water into the pot and bring to a boil. Add coix seed and rice.

3. Add yam slices, red dates and lily in turn and cook together.

4. Cook over high heat for 20 minutes, then reduce to low heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.

5. Add rock sugar and cook for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat when the porridge becomes thick.
