How to make mushroom siu mai

20. Use the end of a rolling pin to roll the dough at one quarter of the way to form a skirt.

21.Put the prepared dough in your hand;

22. Add appropriate amount of mushroom and glutinous rice filling in the middle;

23. Slowly close the dough with your thumb and index finger, pinching the top third of the dough tightly. The lotus leaf will naturally spread out, leaving a proper amount of stuffing.

24. Place carrot slices underneath and put into the steamer;

25. Boil water and steam over high heat for ten minutes;

26. The steaming "Mushroom Shaomai" was served directly on the table.
