New Orleans Pizza Recipe

Whether we can have a healthy body is related to whether we can enjoy life well, and a healthy body requires sufficient dietary nutrition to ensure it. In normal times, we should pay attention to eating out less and cooking more at home. The method of New Orleans pizza is very simple and suitable for those who want to be healthy but don’t have too much time.

1. Mix the dough ingredients and knead them into a smooth dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it ferment for about an hour until the dough doubles in size. I used a bread machine to automatically knead the dough and ferment it. It took an hour and a half. When adding the ingredients, I made sure to keep the sugar and salt separate from the yeast.

2. Prepare the sauce ingredients while the dough is fermenting.

3. Fry the sauce ingredients in a frying pan to make pizza sauce.

4. Make full use of your time to prepare the filling ingredients, cover them with plastic wrap and set aside. I didn’t prepare chicken thighs this time, but they were delicious too. If you need chicken, marinate it in advance, cut it into pieces and fry it.

5. After the dough has fermented, press down to release the air, divide it into 2 equal parts, knead it into a smooth dough, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes. The picture shows it divided into 4 portions because I used double the amount, and the remaining dough was processed and stored in the refrigerator.

6. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a thin middle and thick edge pancake. Place it on a pizza pan or baking tray. Use a fork to poke small holes in the pancake to prevent it from bulging during baking.

7. Take half of the pizza sauce and spread it evenly on the pizza dough.

8. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and spread evenly.

9. Add shredded green peppers, onions, ham and chicken.

10. Sprinkle with chopped mozzarella cheese and add more cheese according to personal taste.

11. Heat the upper and lower tubes of the oven and preheat to 200℃ for 5 minutes.

12. After the oven is preheated, place the pizza pan in the middle layer of the oven and bake at 200℃ for 20 minutes.

15. Use the remaining ingredients to make the second pizza.

16. Because I used double the amount, I also baked a banana pizza.

17. For banana pizza, you need to bake the dough for 8 minutes first, then take out the dough, brush it with ketchup (do not add Orleans sauce), sprinkle with cheese, place banana slices, sprinkle with cheese again, and finally bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
