How to make Custard Wife Cake (Vegetable Oil Version)

1. Make the custard filling first. Beat two egg yolks and add sugar, milk, flour and oil in turn and mix well. After the steamer starts to steam, put in the egg yolk paste and steam for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. After steaming, let it cool and set aside.

5. Roll it up from top to bottom, cover it with plastic wrap and let it relax.

6. Divide the cooled custard filling into 16 portions

7. Take a relaxed dough roll and press it slightly to reshape it into an oval shape.

8. Roll up from top to bottom again and roll up all 16 pieces of dough. Take a dough and press the middle with your fingers, bringing the two ends closer to the middle.

9. Flatten the dough into a round cake that is thick in the middle and thin around the edges. Add the custard filling and slowly wrap it up with the seal facing down.

10. Press the wrapped dough into round cakes, place them in the baking tray, and brush the surface with egg yolk. Then sprinkle sesame seeds on it and cut three slits with a knife, making sure to cut through the surface

11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake in the middle layer for 20 minutes until the surface is golden brown.

12. Let it cool after it comes out of the oven and keep it sealed.
