1. Prepare the necessary ingredients and soak the rice cake in clean water in advance, with the amount of water just covering the rice cake;

2. Cut onion into small pieces and green onion into oblique sections;

3. Add a small amount of salad oil to the pan, heat it to about 80%, add onions and scallions and stir-fry until fragrant;

4. After frying until fragrant, add the water used to soak the rice cakes and Korean chili sauce;

5. After the chili sauce is mixed, try the saltiness of the soup. Add appropriate amount of salt according to personal taste, add rice cake, and boil over high heat;

6. After boiling, turn to low heat and simmer. When the soup becomes thick, stir frequently to prevent the rice cake from sticking to the pot.

7. Keep stirring and simmering until the soup reaches a suitable thickness, then turn off the heat and serve.
